“I will miss Angelina’s sweet smile, positive enthusiasm and energy. I will hold on to all our great memories . . . “

Angelina's Story: Born in 1981, Angelina was raised in Pacifica; graduated from Mercy High School, Burlingame; and was a Presidential Scholar at San Francisco State University, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Communications. While working and interning with Central County and San Mateo Fire Departments, she completed requirements for an Associate Degree in Fire Science.

Angelina Marie CiucciNever one to say no, Angelina always put others before herself, and did so with her infamous smile. When she accepted a challenge, she gave it her best. With a busy schedule and many projects, she never forgot community service. She was a board member of Daly City’s Operation Santa Claus, a program for disadvantaged families. She looked forward to summer when she volunteered as a counselor at the Alicia Ann Ruch Burn Foundation “Champ Camp” for children that were burn victims. With this experience and growing up as the daughter of a firefighter, she decided to dedicate her career to Fire Prevention. As a Safety Inspector for the North County Fire Authority, she was proud to be part of the fire department camaraderie and fulfill a long-time dream.

In June, 2007, she was diagnosed with melanoma. From that point on, she fought with incredible grace, courage and tenacity, enduring surgeries, radiation, conventional and experimental forms of cancer treatment. Unfortunately, on October 29, 2008, at the age of 27, she lost the battle. Those who knew Angelina were inspired by her all too brief life, and were touched by her qualities of courage, compassion and integrity. She left an impression on everyone’s heart, and will never be forgotten.

Our final golf tournament, dinner and auction is scheduled for September 26, 2016, at the Lake Merced Golf Club, in Daly City. The proceeds from this event, will benefit the California Pacific Medical Center’s Melanoma Research Program (CPMC).
